Paranoia gives you a Paranoia Score for the companies and apps you already use — a 0–100 number, higher = more private, produced by a published, weighted rubric you can read in full inside the app. No biased or fake claims: every score is built from public records and cited sources you can tap and read yourself.

You agreed to all of it. You just never got to read the fine print. Every app you open is quietly telling companies where you are, what you do, and who you know. Paranoia shows you exactly who's watching each one — and how bad it is.

Yes. Paranoia is live on the App Store — version 2.0.1, and it needs iOS 16.4 or later. It browses instantly, even offline, from a bundled data snapshot that syncs updates quietly in the background.

A published, weighted rubric — not a vibe — applied to public, licensed data from ToS;DR, PrivacySpy, Privacy Guides, Wikidata, GeoNames, Atlas of Surveillance, and Blacklight (self-run scans). Never a purchased or scraped dataset. Five weighted pillars produce the 0–100 score. The full rubric — every pillar, every weight — is readable inside the app. Every claim behind a score links to a primary source you can open and check yourself. Using Paranoia requires signing in, and that is the one thing that is not conditional. There are no ads and no purchased datasets. Ad measurement and product analytics are optional — switch either off any time in Profile, and see /privacy for the full breakdown. Your preferences and your privacy lens never leave this device at all, and neither does a search that finds companies. If product analytics is on and a search finds no companies, the text of that search (shortened, and never sent if it looks like an email address, a phone number or a web address) is sent to our analytics provider. Your watchlist does leave it: once you sign in, it syncs to your account, so the list follows you to another device. Here is everything else that can leave your device, and exactly when: An email address and an account ID, stored for every account (plus a one-way hash of that email if you redeem a referral code); a push token, the companies and officials you have alerts on, and your weekly digest setting and time zone offset, if you turn on notifications; a purchase record if you subscribe, tied to your account. If you leave the two Profile → MEASUREMENT toggles on, two more items are collected: a device identifier and in-app usage events. Both of those, plus the purchase record when it is shared with Meta, are used for tracking — only if you allowed tracking at the App Tracking Transparency prompt. Turn either toggle off any time; the rest is not used for tracking.

iPhone first. Paranoia is built for iOS 16.4 and later, and there is no version for any other platform today.
